Sometime around1994 or so, a bunch of the more dedicated callers to the BBS I operated decided they would donate some of their skills as professional writers and create a flyer that I could photocopy and distributed to the local computer stores.  These generous individuals consisted of most of the reporting team from the Terrace Standard, a local newspaper (still edited by Rod Link, who I suspect also had a hand in this).  Jeff Nagel, Stephanie Wiebe, and Malcolm Baxter all were very active participants in the BBS and the small "Pacific North West Echo" that we established to link communities along Highway 16 from Prince Rupert to Prince George.

I found this (while looking for something else, of course - that's the way of a "packrat") so thought I should scan it in and post it here for "historical purposes".

Sasquatch BBS operated for 8 years, from 1988 to 1996. I was the Sysop...

It's closed now - so please don't try to dial any telephone numbers you might see in these stories with your modem!

This system operated using the PCBoard BBS software, of which I was a beta tester.

I also tested a wide variety of other BBS software, including the Qmail offline messaging system from Sparkware (author Mark "Sparky" Herring).
